Special Memorial Day Edition,
May 27, 2004
Happy Memorial Day I guess. In spite of the calendar, we humans personally decide when seasons begin and end. Memorial Day is the start of summer, just like Labor Day begins the wonderful, cool autumn. I am one of those weird people who HATE hot weather yet live in the south. Georgia is one hot and muggy place from now until mid September (or even later, heaven forbid!)
As a consolation for the suffering months ahead, we aren't working until Tuesday, except for my Saturday class. Hope you and yours follow suit and have a safe and wonderful long weekend.
Many warm wishes for our friends in other countries, too. If you're north of the equator, your hot time is ahead as well. If you're south of the equator, I'm coming to visit you. :-)
We always have a Memorial Day sale and if you haven't yet picked up your copy of the 50 minute or so recording between Andy Jenkins and Brad Fallon, do it now:

And don't miss the humor below it's especially for us women! Number 8 is a true story it happens to me all the time! I just don't understand it???
CREATING INFORMATION PRODUCTS AND SELLING THEM ON EBAY
Downloadable products are the best possible goodies to sell on eBay! Bar none! And that's because ...
1. You have no inventory costs (once you own the info product)
2. There's no packaging or mailing (simply deliver them over the net)
3. There's no risk (because you already own the product, so you don't end up with unsold inventory sitting on your shelves)
4. Once you own your product, your sales are pure profit (except for eBay fees, of course)
But the truth is that most downloadable products do NOT sell. But that's only because the sellers don't know what they're doing. Lots of ebooks, for example, do sell. See lots of examples of success stories, here:

But the biggest problem is THINKING TOO SMALL. Why go to the trouble to write an information product, or pay someone else to write it, or compile it from various sources and then receive only one profit from it? The truth is that you can receive multiple paydays from one product, if it's done correctly.
For example, I spent a few hours putting together a short report on leather handbags and other 'carrying' goods. The main emphasis was how to tell good leather from bad. If you've ever felt leather, you know that some of it is soft and supple and sensual while others are stiff. It's easy to tell the difference in a store when you can touch it but how do you know on the internet? I rated brand name handbags and also threw in a few other tidbits, like how to care for good leather and what to do if it gets wet.
Where did I find my information? Right on the net.
I charged only a minimal price of, usually, 99 cents.
Why bother for such a small profit? Because I had all kinds of affiliate links in that ebook! I haven't sold it in several months (because I've been too busy), but I received an affiliate check last week from my sales of Fossil products. I joined their affiliate program and promoted them in the ebook and am still making sales, months after the initial profit.
Sound simple? It is, if you know what you're doing. We have a digital class on how to do this and it's for sale but only through Memorial Day. It includes:
* Four session of a downloadable class
* A pdf document with all the references in the class so that you don't have to get them off your computer
* A special report: Earning Multiple Profits From One Digital Product"
* And a copy of a book I wrote with Jimmy Brown a couple of years ago, titled "Putting Information Products On The Auction Block!"
The sale ends Monday night.

Enjoy.

Thanks, Andrew!

From Our Humor Department:
A Woman's Random Thoughts
1) If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it will always be yours. If it doesn't come back, it was never yours to begin with. But, if it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and doesn't appear to realize that you had set it free ... You either married it or gave birth to it.
2) Reason to smile: Every 7 minutes of every day, someone in an aerobics class pulls a hamstring.
3) My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.
4) The best way to forget all your troubles is to wear tight shoes.
5) The nice part about living in a small town: When you don't know what you're doing, someone else always does.
6) Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.
7) Sometimes I think I understand everything, then I regain consciousness.
8) Amazing! You hang something in your closet for a while and it shrinks two sizes!
9) They keep telling us to get in touch with our bodies. Mine isn't all that communicative but I heard from it the other day after I said, "Body, how'd you like to go to the six o'clock class in vigorous toning?" Clear as a bell my body said, "Listen fatty .... do it and die."
10) I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That's my idea of a perfect day.
