Used Car Auction: Honesty = Key To Used Car Auction Sales
Used car auction on eBay ... what to do to prove your honesty
The major problem during a used car auction, especially a Yahoo or eBay one, is to prove that you're honest! The number of scams during used car sales is at an all-time high, so there is small wonder that everyone but the least-experienced eBayers will treat you as a potential thief/swindler rather than as honest car dealer who tries to sell their wares on an online auction. There are, however, a few ways to improve your look in the eyes of potential customers.

VIN numbers critical in used car auctions
The first and the most important thing is to always give a VIN number of a used car you put on the auction. (eBay Motors auction doesn't usually permit you to sell a car without its VIN number).
The point is that you can also publish the used car history that one can get after asking for a VIN check. This will send your auction bidders a clear message: “I have nothing to hide”.
{Note: VIN = Vehicle Identification Number and is on ALL cars}
Title transfer on cars
Be always prepared to sell a car only when you are prepared to transfer its title to the new owner. If you have an “in transit” title, wait until you actually have it in your possession. This is important in two ways.
1. All used car auction tips tell buyers that they mustn't bid on cars with title in transit, so you're not going to get a good price (less bidders, lesser income).
2. Actually having a title means that you're honest and you're not preparing any scam.
Selling wrecked/flooded cars on eBay
Never sell wrecked/flooded cars on a used car auction. While sometimes it is possible to make a healthy profit by selling a salvage car for a price of normally used one, the eBay feedback rating will surely suffer if you try such a scam – and you will quickly lose all your customer if there's be even one negative feedback score on your account. Used car auction buyers are very sensitive to frauds and the slightest smell on scandal will end your business immediately.
