Get advice from real life students (aren't we all?) who have started from nothing - and are steadily climbing the income ladder. As a student says, "Stories like this not only CAN happen, they DO happen... every day! Sydney is a perfect example, I'm a perfect example... we both quit our jobs to do this, among other things. Neither of us is anything special, are we Sydney? We just had an overwhelming desire to make the change."

The hard, HARD road of Backwards Marketing. Why beat your head up against a wall, trying to create demand? Why not tap into the demand that already exists? As one famous (and very successful!) marketer says: "Find out where the money is and throw yourself in front of it." Lots of folks want to skip that part. They're in too much of a hurry to start making money to take the time to figure out potential profits. Bad mistake. Once you know how to figure out demand you will know exactly what to sell!

Dropshipping: every auction seller's dream. How would you like this scenario? You list an item on eBay – but you haven't paid a penny for it. If it doesn't sell, all you have lost is your listing fee, which can be as low as 30 cents. If it does sell, you earn a nice profit. You collect the money from your buyer. Then you use an 800# or send an email to a supplier and order the product – which costs less than the money you've already collected, naturally. It is mailed directly to your buyer and you never see it, touch it, handle it or mail it! Then you re-list the item, and do it again. Fantasy? Not at all. People are doing it every single day. No risk, no inventory, no shipping. What's not to like?

Don't be fooled by 'fake wholesalers. How would you like to buy a Beltronics 985 Radar/Laser Detector, with a “wholesale” price of “only” $229 plus either $15 or $20 shipping (depending on where you live.) Then, how would you like to sell this 'bargain' for $178.01, $167 or $125? Stinks, huh? That's what happens when you don't know what you're doing. The shame is that it's so easy to avoid ...

How to find product manufacturers of eBay best sellers. Suppose you find an exciting item on eBay: 1. High demand 2. Few competitors 3. Lovely profit margin But, the problem is that you don't have a source. If you know the manufacturer, you can often (but not always) find a wholesale source. But if you DON”T know who makes it, you don't have a prayer. A brilliant student of mine used a creative and novel way to figure it out and he generously shares with all of us. Truly a tip worth its weight in gold!

Just a normal guy ... who happens to be the second biggest seller on eBay! Joe Edery, a auctioneer who sold $11 worth of camera equipment his first year on eBay says, "Every day I see a new competitor in my category, but they often go about it all wrong. So every day I also see another one disappear."

Too bad about missed opportunities. One of the most famous marketers in America started his fortune with ... soap. Soap? Yep, but what makes the story interesting is that he didn't OWN the soap and didn't have a penny of his own money invested. Cool or what? One of our Auction Genius students is doing the exact same thing. But the really interesting part isn't the deal as much as the MINDSET. Let him tell you about it in his own words ...

Removing the "Sucker" sign. Have you ever rushed into something, certain that it was a good deal. Then you put money and time into it ... but it turned out to be a REAL BAD IDEA? I have. Most entrepreneurs have. It's part of the education of “growing up”. Growing up in a business sense, of course. Doing our “due diligence” and checking out these so-called wonderful opportunities is time well spent, as a friend learned when she invested lots of money in an “invisible pen”. We would all do well to learn from her mistake so that we don't follow suit ...

But, what if I get ... (gulp) ... negative feedback? One of our most important business assets is our reputation. If folks don't trust us, they won't buy, no matter how good the offer seems to be. And on auctions, our reputation primarily depends on the feedback we get. That is, the comments from those who have done business with us already. But sometimes, we all run into the Customer From Hell who will trash us, through no fault of our own. Or, perhaps we mad an honest mistake and get a lousy rating from an unhappy buyer. How should we handle this? Here's an idea ...

How to kill your business with "freebies". Naturally we all love free stuff. We want to get what we need for nothing – and yet receive high prices for OUR goods. :-) Nothing wrong with that. I want it, too. Just be careful about the choices you make when picking software - after all, our tools are very important to our ultimate success. See how one poor lady damaged her business (beyond repair?) with a real Business Killer ...

Learn about the only thing that can prevent your success! (Yes, it's really the only thing you need to worry about). What would you think if someone told you, “I really, REALLY, R-E-A-L-L-Y want an eBay business - but what's stopping me is that I can't figure out how to get an accurate weight for packages.” Does that seem like a real concern? If they can't even handle this simple decision, what will they do when faced with more momentous ones like suppliers, pricing and bookkeeping? We let our own fear stop us so many times! Some fears, of course, are prudent – strolling across an interstate is cause for genuine terror! But most of our fears aren't like that. Here are some thoughts from nice folks who haven't let their fear stop them from getting out there and mucking around in the Internet world ...
