eBay Fees: "Buy It Now" Fees Bring Quicker eBay Profits Than Auctions Do

Before you can figure your eBay fees for Buy It Now (BIN), you need to understand what the term truly means. In fact, there are two ways that buyers can purchase with a BIN: Fixed Price Format or as an option on Online Auction Listings.

Fixed Price format:

This means that you offer your widget at a fixed price of $25 (for instance), rather than as an auction. To do this you must fulfill different requirements, based on whether you are selling one item or multiples:

Selling 1 item as a BIN:

* Have a feedback rating of 10 or more (or be ID Verified) to list your item in a Fixed Price listing with a quantity of one.

* Or if you have a PayPal account, you need to have a minimum feedback score of 5 and accept PayPal as a payment method.

Selling multiple items as a BIN:

* You must have a feedback rating of 30 or more and be a registered user for at least 14 days (or be ID Verified).

* Or if you have a PayPal account, you need to have a minimum feedback score of 15 and accept PayPal as a payment method.When you choose to list in the Fixed Price format, you'll indicate the price at which you'd like to sell your item(s) and buyers can purchase from your listings immediately at that price.

Online Auction Format:

If you wish to auction an item, you can offer the BIN option.

Note: you can only offer the BIN when auctioning a single item - this isn't available on Dutch auctions

How does it work when you have two choices for a buyer ... the choice to submit a bid or to buy outright?

Choice #1: the buyer is willing to meet your Buy It Now price before the first bid comes in, your item sells instantly and your auction ends.

Choice #2: if a bid comes in first, the Buy It Now option disappears. Then your auction proceeds normally. Special circumstance: When the auction has a reserve, the Buy It Now disappears after the first bid that meets the reserve.)Requirements for placing auction BINs:
